Introduction

Currently regarded as one of the most important policy measures in the worldwide endeavour to lower energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions is energy efficiency. This plan is considered a method to enhance processes and technologies and take actions to lower energy consumption without compromising functionality or comfort. Individuals and organisations could make an impact on the environment by reducing energy expenditures and advancing sustainable development by improving their energy efficiency. This study emphasises how important energy efficiency is for building a strong and prosperous energy future. Moreover, it also calls for policies that include public input and group solutions for better and more effective environmental management. Therefore, it is an important part of both driving economic growth and protecting the environment for future generations. In Indonesia in this case, energy efficiency is crucial on a local and international level. Whilst globally we fight against climate change, increasing energy efficiency is critical to meeting climate targets and reducing reliance on finite fossil fuel supplies. With the two main strategies are to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and promote sustainable development, Indonesia's growing energy needs from rapid urbanisation and economic expansion make energy efficiency essential locally. Indonesia can reduce its energy imports, cut its energy costs, and strengthen its energy security by increasing energy efficiency. Additionally, it can lessen pollution and environmental deterioration, improving living circumstances for the populace.
